with diplomas in Therapeutic Massage and Body Therapies in 1996.
Roger was head of the sports department at the NZ
College of Massage from 2002 - 2006 and helped create its 2000-hour Massage and Clinical Sports Diploma.

He has been a NZ Academy of Sports Accredited Sports Massage Therapist since 1999 and is Massage Director of NZ Ironman.

He has worked with several high-profile sports teams and individual athletes including the Auckland Blues rugby side (1999),
Joanna Lawn (presently world No 4 Ironwoman) and kayaker Ben Fouhy (Olympic silver medallist K1000, Athens).
Roger combines hands-on soft tissue therapy with musculoskeletal assessment to provide a pain free result and/or an improved performance.
He uses progressive corrective exercises to encourage client self responsibility.
His approach is based on control of the central nervous system, building endurance of muscles/body and increasing aerobic fitness and strength.
Roger collaborates with several like-minded health professionals -- including his colleagues at BodySmart -- to achieve the best outcome for his clients.
